15th April 2025, 6 – 8 pm: The family of a person with developmental disability often worry about their future, especially for when parents are no longer here.
We have put together comprehensive booklets for parents to capture information about themselves and their loved one. The checklists can be shared with those who will support the person if they are suddenly unable to continue in the caring role. The checklists will be provided in a booklet for you to take home.
Who Should Attend:
This workshop is designed for parents, carers, families and guardians of people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities, like Autism.
We will cover topics such as:
- Keeping records: personal, health, medical, financial records, property and service providers’ details
- Home and living plans
- Relationships and support networks
- Emergency care plans
- Guardianship and administration
- Wills and estate planning
- Special disability trusts
- and more..
