WORKSHOP for families: Understanding Guardianship and Administration (EVENING)

8th April 2025, 6-8 pm: What do you need to know about Guardianship and Administration for your child with developmental disability as they approach 18 years of age, and beyond, when they become an adult?

This workshop is for parents, carers, families, and supporters of people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities, like Autism, who are nearing or have reached adulthood. We’ll address common questions and concerns surrounding Guardianship and Administration as your child transitions into adulthood.

Who should attend?

This workshop is designed for parents, carers, families and supporters of people with developmental disabilities approaching 18 years of age, and beyond.

We will cover a range of topics, including:

  • What is Administration?
  • Should you apply, application process, and what are the options?
  • How to apply?
  • What is the State Administrative Tribunal (SAT)?
