On the Couch event, Voting: What You Need to Know

Adults with intellectual disability ~ Please join us at the upcoming *On the Couch* event about Voting and what you need to know, presented by WA Electoral Commission with DDWA.

At the event we will talk about:

  • Why it is important to vote
  • How to vote
  • How to do a postal vote
  • Where you can go to vote
  • How to get information about voting

Who is invited:

  • People over 18 years old with an intellectual disability.
  • First timers are very welcome.
  • Your support worker or carer can stay with you for the event if you like, or they can drop off and pick you up after the workshop is finished.

Cost: free.

Refreshments will be available: drinks and snacks. You can let us know if you have any dietary needs when completing the registration form.

DDWA “On the Couch” workshops have been running since 2019. They are an opportunity for adults with Intellectual disability to talk about set topics of interest in a supportive social setting.

Getting to the event:

  • Train – City West stop, Fremantle line
  • Parking – Watertown parking, or parking on Delhi Street
