Let’s talk about what can help when feeling stressed.
Who is invited?
DDWA’s ‘On the Couch’ events are open to adults over 18 with an intellectual disability. First-timers are welcome!
At our upcoming event for our ‘On the Couch’ crew, we will talk about:
- What is stress?
- Things that can cause stress
- What tools can I use to help me deal with stress?
- Self-care tips about looking after my mental health
This event will be co-presented by by Jessica Toster, an adult with Down Syndrome and also a person with intellectual disability with an interest in meditation, relaxation and well-being. Jessica has worked with DDWA for over 10 years in the role of Office Assistant.
Please bring a towel or yoga mat for relaxation exercise.
Refreshments will be available.
ALSO ** NEWS ** There will be a stall with products to purchase for yourself or as gifts. Sham’s Beauty Products will be on sale at this event, so bring your money or credit/debit card. Sham is a person with a range of disabilities. She produces body products like soaps and moisturisers from scratch, and also proposes hand massages using her products. This will be a fun addition to our wellbeing and relaxation event. For more info:
