How did On the Couch start?
On the Couch grew from a project called Community Educators that DDWA did in 2019.
People with intellectual disability worked together with DDWA.
We went to meetings in the community and made some videos to talk about important things like
- how the community can be more inclusive for people with disability
- how to stand up for yourself
When the project finished, people wanted to keep meeting to talk more about these things, and that is how the On the Couch Group began.
