If the answer is Yes, this forum will explore ways to make the school experience better for your child and family. All attendees will receive FREE copies of guides for parents on Education Plans, Inclusion and Self Advocacy We will share the knowledge of other families who have experienced mainstream education and discuss: ways of choosing and entering school effective communication strategies engaging in educational planning sharing your knowledge about your child understanding the Disability Standards in Education friendships and social inclusion ABOUT THE FACILITATOR: Maxine Drake is an experienced Advocate who has worked in the health, mental health and disability fields for many years. Maxine is passionate about supporting people with disability and families to develop the skills to exercise their rights.
