A FORUM FOR PARENTS
“It wasn’t always a bed of roses, but I am so glad we did it”
Does your child go to a mainstream school, or you’d like them to, but worry about how it can work?   
If the answer is Yes, this forum will explore ways to make the school experience better for your child and family.  
All attendees will receive FREE copies of guides for parents on Education Plans, Inclusion and Self Advocacy
We will share the knowledge of other families who have experienced mainstream education and discuss:

ways of choosing and entering school
effective communication strategies
engaging in educational planning
sharing your knowledge about your child
understanding the Disability Standards in Education
friendships and social inclusion

ABOUT THE FACILITATOR: 
Maxine Drake is an experienced Advocate who has worked in the health, mental health and disability fields for many years.  
Maxine is passionate about supporting people with disability and families to develop the skills to exercise their rights.

West Perth—Tuesday 12 March 2019 City West Lotteries House 
Yellow and Green CAT buses stop nearby.  Train access—West Perth stop on the Fremantle line
Some street parking at $4.14/hour.  Parking is available nearby at Watertown $6 for 3 hours(formerly Harbourtown).
