Supporting School-age Children with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder

A Guide for Parents and Carers

This guide has been developed to provide parents and carers of children (and young adults) with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) with useful information to they can share with family members, teachers and principals.

It aims to help family members and teachers to work with children with FASD in optimal ways to maximise their learning and social enjoyment of school.

I’m so proud of my boys to see how far they have come, to have people doubt that they would make year 12 and things like that, and here they are, they are role models as far as I’m concerned for younger Aboriginal kids in the same situation. - Parent
