Community Educators and the On the Couch Group

Since 2018, the couch has been meeting to talk about important things like; making friends, having a good home and finding a job. If you have an intellectual disability you can join the group.

DDWA began Side by Side as a project in 2012, for families experiencing behaviour which could be seen as challenging.

My Life Keys

DDWA is excited to receive NDIS ILC funding to offer the My Life Keys - Keys to Success Program in schools and community group homes during 2021 and 2022.

The Friendship Project

Over 12 months, this project will make a series of videos for people with intellectual disability, made by and with people with disability about making and keeping friends.

Joining the Gym

the Joining the Gym Project will develop an online training package for staff in fitness centres and private gyms to address gaps in knowledge and increase skills and confidence to support people with intellectual disability and complex communication needs at their centres.
