Mary Butterworth appointed Acting Manager for Developmental Disability WA

Mal Cronstedt, Chair of the Board of Management of Development Disability WA (DDWA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mary Butterworth to the role of Acting Manager.
This appointment is initially for the period of three months and follows the departure of Taryn Harvey after eight years at the helm.
Mary is currently DDWA’s R.I.S.E. Manager (Resources | Information | Skills | Education). She has an excellent reputation for achieving outcomes and is experienced in working collaboratively with not just DDWA partners, but also members of the broader disability sector.
Mary holds qualifications in human service management and governance and has worked in the disability sector since 1986. She previously worked with Pilbara Kimberley Care, National Disability Services and WA’s Individualised Services. She is currently a board member of Southern Cross Care (Southern Plus), Microboards Australia and SECCA.
Mal said: “Mary is the ideal person to take this role, to lead DDWA into the next era of advancing the rights and needs of people with disability. In due course a new permanent CEO will be sought”.
