NDS and WA Companion Card: Access Key for Changing Places

NDS WA Companion Card: free* master locksmith access keys (MLAK) for people with disability to access Changing Places toilet facilities (*Free until 31 July 2018)

Changing Places in Western Australia:
Free* keys now available for WA Companion Cardholders

Changing Places are secure, clean facilities for people with disability who need space and assistance to use the bathroom when out and about in the community.  There are now 15 Changing Places open in Western Australia, with more planned to open soon.

Changing Places are locked using a Master Locksmith Access Key (MLAK). The key keeps the Changing Places network secure, safe and reserved for people who need them and are available for people with disabilities to gain 24/7 access to a network of public facilities.

A free* key to open Changing Places is now available for WA Companion Card holders. This offer is funded by the State Government of Western Australia.  The MLAK key will cost $20 after 31 July 2018.

Companion Card holders are encouraged to accept this offer if they need at least one of the following to use the bathroom:

• A hoist
• An adult-size change table
• Room for two people to assist

*The MLAK key offer is available to all WA Companion Card holders in conjunction with National Disability Services WA.
